My comments on tutoring Government : After having a 30+ year tenure working inside the U.S. Federal Gov't, I am more than proficient to teach/tutor all matters relevant to Government studies.

I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.
I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. Let's get back down to the basics (Latin, History, Science)

I like to boil things down to the basics. With Latin and Science that means learning as much as one can about the basic elements and then building one step at a time on those basics. In history, it means learning the story, and telling the story.
I recieved a BA degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I majored in Classical Civilization (with a Latin Concentration) and History. I have 12 years of experience teaching Latin. The courses I have taught include introductory courses, Latin I, Latin II, and Latin III. 3 years of Life Science teaching experience. 4 years of History teaching experience (as a tour guide and history interpreter) 12 years of experience teaching writing as well.
