An intellectual and goofy tutor looking to help out.

I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me.

I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I have, for the past ten years, been tutoring and teaching Latin and English/Language Arts. I taught high school for two years in Pennsylvania, and for the last two years, I have taught Latin and English here in Texas. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Classics and a minor in English. I was an honors student in Classics, and I was chosen to be the departmental tutor in Greek. I have a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics.I am a very experienced private math tutor. During my 2nd undergraduate year at TSU, I began to teach physics labs. Initially,I taught "general" physics 1 and 2 lab sections,(those for science majors; excluduing engineering and physics majors).
