French is one of my top subjects! I am able to speak and write in French. I have been speaking French my entire life.

I have spoken and studied in French my entire life. I am from Senegal, a former French colony in the west coast of Africa. I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I majored in French Studies. My studies ranged from grammar, lectures, French politics and current events, French history, French literature and Arts, and also studies on former and current French colonies.
I have a very casual teaching style, where I encourage the student to not be afraid to make as mistakes as possible because that is where you'd learn the most. I like to make sure that each lesson is apprehended before moving on the next lesson. I am attentive to my students, and will ensure to get the best out of every lesson.

French, Math, and Arabic Tutor

The first thing I’d like to first teach my students about Math, Arabic, and French is that they are relevant and fun, so they are in turn interested in learning them, which will make the subject easy to teach, and allow for pleasant engagement of the students and myself. Math and languages require the students to be active participants. I have come to learn that those who attend lectures passively tend to fall behind. While the material can be sometimes overwhelming, one approach I have employed and has led to successful results is setting clear and short-term goals that are achievable but also challenging. I have been an Economic tutor for Texas A&M for 3 years. I am graduating from Texas A&M in May with my Minor in French. I am not completely fluent in French but could certainly help beginner to mid-range students who are struggling with pronunciation, verb conjugation, or desire to have more than 45 min classroom exposure.
