A Little Bit About Me...

I tutored Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Biology and Chemistry while I was pursuing both of my degrees. Not only was I a tutor, but I also sought tutoring for myself! I feel that tutorial sessions can help students get a better understanding of a subject outside of daily classroom lectures. The student gets that one on one time that they may not always receive in a classroom. Each student has a different degree of learning and that's what makes us all unique. Computer is one of my top subjects!

I am very patient. My mother was a teacher and liked helping children and I believed that her genes have rubbed off on me as well. I like to help others succeed. I believe that an individual does not have a disadvantage, but a advantage when they make up their mind to do something. They can become great.

I enjoy seeing others achieve their goals and begin to comprehend things they didn't before. During the times I've helped other students and friends, I have always had a lot of patience. I know that these things don't come fast, and so I take the time to teach the material, give them time to try and do the problems on their own, and then go back over the material making sure each point is understood, even the places where the student may have gone astray. After completing my bachelor degree in Elementary Education, I began teaching First Grade. Each day I was responsible for a maximum of thirty children at a time. I taught Bible, Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Arithmetic, Poetry, Science, Health, Art, History, and Writing.
