I love the one on one interaction a tutor has with the students. I believe all children have a unique style of learning and we need to help them find their own way of learning. For example some kids are visual learners, while others are hearing learners. My work as a tutor is to see which method is the best for them. I am very patience with my students. I have experience teaching English and German (I am a Spanish native speaker though). My best talent is the writing and that is of a great help when it comes to teaching a language. I taught English in Colombia and Spanish in Germany which gave me the experience necessary to transmit what I know in the best way possible. I learnt German in Germany to an extend that I helped my friends to improve theirs. I know the difficulties of the German language and based on my own learning experience I can teach that language knowing how to tackle those difficulties.

My comments on tutoring Spanish : I'm not currently fluent, but I have lots of experience with Spanish in both classrooms and in cultural settings. I would love to help with a 1st or 2nd year level class.

I am about to complete my first year at IU School of Dentistry. I completed my B.S. in Biology at IPFW with a 4.0 GPA and love learning! Science is my specialty but I enjoy other subjects as well. I believe that teaching styles need to be flexible to the student. I have worked with a very wide variety of students, from the severely limited autistic youth to the highly gifted medical student. While approach and focus might vary for the individual or subject matter the essence remains the same. I try to envision at least 3 different ways of approaching a problem, I discuss material but let the students ask questions which I then tailor my explanations toward.
