After graduating college I taught elementary K-8th grade in NYC. I taught for one year and decided to live Paris, France teaching English. I lived in Paris, France for 1.5 years then moved to Rome, Italy, again teaching English. My experiences were wonderful as I met people who really enjoyed learning English and needed it for work. After 6 months I returned to the states and taught at a Junior High School on the Lower eastside of NYC. I left teaching after 10 years to market computers. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I was employeed at New Covenant Charter School during the 2009-2010 school year. I implemented Guided Reading using Fountas and Pinnell's theory. I also was able to implement Lucy Calkin's Units of Study for the writing program. I taught in a classroom with twenty-one diverse learners and was able to adjust the classroom so everyone's needs were met.
I believe that all children learn in the there own way. I believe in Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. I think that all students have the capability to learn anything they desire as long as they are taught based on their needs.
