There is some geometry on the GED. I am very good at this. However, in my own experience, not all geometry is equal. Some of it is quite complicated. I like to cooperate with the student, finding their strengths and weaknesses in order to improve their chance of success. I am very careful to zero in on what the student needs and eliminate anything that is already known. In other words, I do not like to waste the learners time with facts that they know but concentrate on what needs to be learned. I have a BS in Education with a Comprehensive Science specialty - 7th to 12th grades. I have taught science in the classroom, but I changed after I got married to tutoring. In the past few years I have spent most of my time tutoring math and GED. This has been done in both a private and classroom setting. I gained my first tutoring experience by explaining difficult concepts to classmates that were struggling. I have been a tutor on WyzAnt for about half a year now. I have tutored math and physics students both at the high school and college level. All of the students that I worked with rated my lessons positively. From my tutoring experience I have noticed that most students who have trouble understanding a difficult concept do so because they did not understand a more basic prerequisite concept, so I try to help students "fill in the gaps." When working with students, I work through a few problems with them, and then I have them do a few problems on their own to see if they understand.
