My comments on tutoring Geography : If you can read you can learn history and geography. Apply reading skills across the curriculum to help students understand the subject.

Prefer to facilitate learning and provide more hands on activities. Try to connect reading with writing as the two subjects are very much intertwined in the skills they take. Great at teaching across the curriculum to help students in subject areas that require reading of nonfiction

I have for many years helped friends and family when they have needed help with history papers, literature and writing homework, etc. I would love to assist others to achieve success in school as well. The Achievement Centers, our after school tutorial/diagnostic clinic and before and after school care, is available for all ages and subjects. I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.
