My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I have taught a variety of Shakespeare's plays in the classroom.

I prefer the Socratic method of asking/answering questions and discussion, but I am more than capable of diverting to a more lecture style of teaching if that is what works with the student. I tailor my teaching style to the strengths of the student.
I am a teacher with 7 years of classroom experience. My degree is in English, but I have taught in many other areas, including math, history, logic, and rhetoric. I have also tutored many students in grammar and writing, as well as Algebra I and II. I have been responsible for teaching books to students from American Literature (Hawthorne and Hemingway), European Literature (Dickens and Shakespeare), and World Literature (Gilgamesh and Homer).

With fifteen years of college-level teaching experience, I have taught numerous sections of Freshman Composition, Literature, Business Writing, and Preparatory Writing. I enjoy working with students, giving them insights into the potential rewards that await those who improve their written communication skills. I also obtained an MBA from UAB though my greatest business experience was actually working as a banker for fifteen years.
