Hello! I have just graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Physics minor. I have had a lot of experience teaching and tutoring thus far and am currently searching for a full-time teaching position for the fall but would love to continue tutoring this summer and fall. I have worked as a TA (Teacher's Assistant) and a math tutor for the Mathematics department at the University of Delaware for two years and have loved every minute of it. I learn visually and like to teach that way. I believe there is a great deal of concepts and memorization in Chemistry. I am not able to memorize all of the subject and would not ask a student to. Instead, explanation and demonstration of the concept, followed by memorization of the rule grants a greater understanding. The rule can then be applied to other areas and is worth much more than a large volume of memorized information. This is possibly more true in the fields of Math and Physics, learning rules and concepts goes a long way. I prefer to patiently explain, draw, or demonstrate the concept at hand then work on problems that further illustrate that concept.
