A Little Bit About Me...

When I first attended Wilmington College, I was in early childhood education. I completed a whole semester of student teaching and volunteered for tutoring after school. I finally had decided that teaching was not for me because I wanted more of an office setting job so i decided to major in business management. I have decided that I want to pursue in subsitute teaching so that I am able to help children and spend more time with my newborn.
Nothing is better than seeing a huge smile on a child's face once they cath on to something. I love helping children learn by doing a lot of visual activities and practicing! I was always the only person who could help my younger sister study for tests because she said my teaching techinique is very helpful and makes her remember things. It always made me feel good knowing i was the only one who could help her study!

A Little Bit About Me...

I like keeping kids engaged. Teaching isn't just about making sure a student knows the facts, but also about helping them develop a passion for learning. Explaining information in several different ways helps individuals as well as groups learn to the fullest, and allows the students to think about subjects in several different ways.
I volunteered in high school and college tutoring students to read. In high school I was also a music tutor, and a general tutor. Holding a degree in English and History has taught me a lot about many areas of learning that could be used to teach kids effectively.
