Guitar is one of my top subjects! I have been playing guitar since the late 1990s. I have played in numerous bands with styles ranging from folk, blues, and jazz to rock, pop, and alternative.

I have professionally tutored Math and English as an employee of Ohio University, in a private junior-high and high-school academy, and on an individual basis. I taught a semester of Elementary French at Ohio University in Athens. I am always willing to tutor any subject, but my greatest academic strength lie in language learning. English has long been my strongest subject, and I am fluent in French as well (please see the comments in my subject listing). I am also a long-time musician and singer-songwriter and would gladly provide guitar lessons.

I have circled myself with music my entire life. I began playing clarinet at age ten, and during my college years I studied music theory and composition while majoring at piano. I am often complimented on my ability how to teach others music parts and instruction. I am slow and precise with the student to understand not only each segment of instruction but the why and how it fits into the music. It’s part of a complete understanding of not just playing a part, but also harmonic content and structural form that makes the music piece its special qualities. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a graduate student at Wright State University majoring in English Literature. I am also a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for the English Department and have developed a deep admiration for working closely with students. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for the English Department I have been afforded the opportunity to instruct English 101 and 102 classes. Teaching these courses has given me a great deal of practical experience within the classroom and working with individual students.
