My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I am not classroom trained in this field, nor do i have a psychology degree, and i cant prescribe any medicine. i am twenty years old and have been living with adhd since i was born. I know what it feels like and have trained myself to focus and fit in to society, and i know what its like and the best ways to overcome it and have a positive outlook. i just wish when i was a kid i had someone who had known what it was like, instead of Doctors, taking their best guess at what i feel like

I have always been a hands on learner, so that is mostly the way i portray my lessons, by doing, instead of readin. However i also see the need in having to sit down and Get to work, because some thing are better learned on paper

I am only 19 and i graduated class of 2011. I've had a lot of help when i was in school so i know it can be stressful and tough but i found it a lot easier when i got help from people. Kids may be shy or maybe they just find the work is to hard and there scared to get help but i'm easy and outgoing i don't force kids to do there work. It takes time for them to understand how to work things out how to talk to teachers.
I have plenty that i've been tought so maybe using some of them could help the students understand better.

I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center.
