Latin is one of my top subjects! I have four semesters of college Latin and a B.A. in Classics.

While pursuing a double degree from the University at Buffalo and working part-time, I worked in peer tutoring groups for Latin and writing. I have experience proof reading papers and correcting grammar. My four semesters of college Latin have given me a understanding of English language origins and modern usages. Latin also helps me to use punctuation and grammar correctly and effectively. I am well versed in aspects of earth science and geology due to my interest in geology at the University at Buffalo. While there I completed two full semesters of geology lab and lecture.

Teaching is a skill that requires flexibility. As a college student, I have tried many different studying techniques and have succeeded in finding one suitable for my style. Teaching requires different styles and techniques until one is successful. I have observed that the "fun facts" taught by professors are what are most remember able. Teaching and working with children not only educates them but it educates myself in the process. I get to touch up on materials that the children are learning, as well as learn better ways to educate students. Patience is what I believe is the most important aspect of teaching. Children can become unfocused very easily. When children are distracted it may be very difficult to get them focused. Taking your time and making sure they refocus, can actually save time. If they are unfocused and miss a part of what is instructed, they will be confused throughout the whole process. It helps to be patient with the educating process. These educators who take the time to make sure everything is understood make a huge difference in each student.
