A Little Bit About Me...

I think that a good educator is the key to success in a child's life. I can still remember my second grade teacher (Ms. Golf), she made learning fun and seemed like everyday was an adventure in her class. Sadly, not all teachers are like that. I do believe that all children learn in different ways. I think that if a child is given a chance and shown some patience, there isn't anything they can't acheive. Children should be guided in learning. They have short attention spans and I think learning should be made fun in order to hold their attention. I want to make a difference in a child's life, like Ms. Golf made in mine.

As a graduate student, I have successfully tutored a number of undergraduate students. I received my BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Currently, I have 15 graduate semester hours including Advanced biochemistry, parasitology, Advanced botany, and Plant development. As a Fayetteville State University undergraduate, I did a lot of volunteer work with high school student. I also worked in the school's computer lab assisting students with classwork and homework. I have tutored students for the SATs. My specific field is English but I can also tutor in Spanish. I have an extensive amount of knowledge in grammar and composition as well as anything in the literature field.
