I recently graduated from Belhaven College in Jackson Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education. I currently hold valid teaching lisenses in both Mississippi and Delaware for teaching students from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I have also taught a wide randge of subjects including: Reading, Basic Math, General Science, American History, Social Studies, Geography, Study Skills, Dance, Theatre, Mime, Sign-Language, Pilates, and Bible. The past ten years of my life I have spent developing my knowledge about teaching while also applying the things I have learned in real-life teaching and tutoring situations. I entered DeVry University in Summer of 2007 as an Accounting/Business Major looking to aquire my Associates of Applied Science in Accounting. I took a variety of general education classes such as business, math, english, and science. I attended the school for a few months earning credits before having to take a break to go home and be with my father who was suffering from a serious illness. I did extremely well in the areas of math and english which required extensive hours spent on research and studying. I have been privately tutoring children over the past three years. I took a few classes on teaching at a small community college while I was still in high school. I still am considering becoming a teacher after going back to school to complete my major in accounting. I've always been a stronger believer in one-on-one teaching working more proficiently then being taught in a classroom.
