I believe that everyone is teachable, if the student has the desire and the teacher has the commitment. I tend to be a patient teacher, with high standards. I actively question the student, which allows me to challenge the student in my presence, where I am able to guide him/her. While I have predominantly tutored college students, I have also taught adults and children. My sister-in-law is probably my biggest supporter, since she has watched me teach my nephews (now 9 and 10) an array of subjects over the years. During the past four years, I have obtained a BS in Accounting with a Concentration in Fraud Examination and a Minor in Business Management. A Little Bit About Me...

I come from a teaching family, and continue to learn from teachers myself. I feel that because I am still eager to continue to learn new things, I can appreciate a good teacher. I myself need good teachers, and I would not provide a student with anything but that. I am a hard worker and give 110% for every job that needs to be done. While at college, I was a member of the Americorps program in which I completed over 300 hours of community service. During that service, I had roles as both a student and a teacher. Teaching is a challenging task, and rewarding all the same. Each person has individual knowledge and experiences, and reference points to which they can relate. It helps to clear the path by determining what the student knows, and then build on what they already know about the subject matter. Sometimes there is a missing piece of the puzzle that, once it's placed correctly can make a world of difference.
