I began tutoring privately,as well as,for my school's learning center during the early 1990's. I have continued tutoring privately on and off for the past twenty years. I was a substitute teacher in California and Michigan during the 2000's. I also had my own high school level classroom in California for two school years. I was hired on an "Emergency Credential" because I had my BS but no teaching credential. I was laid off due to budget cuts in June of 2003. I also taught "at-risk" elementary age children during the summer for the Glendora Unifed School District in Glendora, CA. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently have spent the last six months in the Head Start Program as a center teacher. We prepare them for kindergarten. I have taught all grade levels. I currently have a BA with a concentration in K-8 education. Due to online classes, I have written hundreds of research and essay papers using APA style although I have helped my son use MLA which I can write in effectively.

I love making every child feel good about there abilities. I try to access how each individual learns. I then can than bring math into there world. I graduated with an Elementary Teaching Degree from a small university in Michigan. Immediately, I went south to New Orleans to assist in the application of an after school program for inner city students. After this semester, I moved to Accra, Ghana in West Africa for three years. The first half-year, I was with a local school assisting in a classroom of 44 first graders. For the next two and a half years, I taught at an international school.
