I enjoy teaching people subjects that I understand. My preferred subjects to teach would be anything math, finance and accounting related. My teaching style is similar to coaching; I use positive reinforcement, motivate and lead by example. I look forward to any challenge and helping individuals succeed. I graduated from high school in 2003 with honors and graduated in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Throughout my schooling I have attended multiple classes in reading/writing, science, history, computer/I.T., foreign language, creative arts, business and math. For two years I was involved with the Big Brother program where I worked with an autistic student. I’m currently employed at US Bank where I work as a mutual fund analyst. I’m also on the training committee at US Bank where I’ve been gaining real world experience helping others.

I hold a bachelor's degree in art education and a master's degree in arts management. With these degrees, I have taught in the public schools and have held positions in the education departments of several major museums. I have taught a wide variety of course and all age levels. I am certified to teach both visual arts and computers, business, and marketing. I am an art teacher in the Chicago Public Schools currently. Besides teaching art, I also teach a computer course for Columbia College. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and uplifting. I like to encourage students to try things that they feel that they are incapable of. I like to provide lots of examples and demonstrations with my teaching in order to insure that students fully understand what is being addressed. I set high expectations and try to nurture a love for learning and for exploration in art.

I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography. I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I believe its the teachers responsibllity to understand how their students learn best and then help communicate the curriculum to them in a way that they will best uderstand and retain that knowledge.
