I enjoy working with students in my school. Every day presents different challenges with students and it takes a great listener and problem solver to help students who do not learn material the first time. I posses both of these qualities as I have helped a variety of different learners achieve success in my class. Every child needs a different plan and work at a different pace. I graduated summa cum laude from the State University of NY College at Cortland with a BA in Secondary English Education in 1989. Following that, I held a variety of positions in education including teaching in pre-schools and tutoring centers. Additionally, I have 2 years experience as a substitute teacher in a variety of subjects. I also home-schooled my own children for 5 years. During one of those years, I taught 2nd and 3rd graders part-time in an After School Enrichment Program.
