I am a firm believer that strict memorization does not allow the student to broaden their ability to solve problems of various flavors. I encourage the student to understand the concepts to avoid tedious memorization. Additionally I believe children learn best in an environment where they do not feel intimidated or nervous. I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry followed by a Master's degree in plant pathology and have a passion for biology, math, and statistics. I have had lifelong leadership experience working with children ages 9 through 18, first as a camp counselor in high school and later as a tutor in biology, chemistry, basic math, and algebra.
