My comments on tutoring World History : Tutor experience

I have fourteen years of teaching experience and love working with children. I am able to establish quick a quick teacher student relationship. I am able also to quickly see strengths and weaknesses in students. I am curently substituting for the Winston-Salem Forsyth County school system. I prefer elementary students but will also tutor college students. I have found both helped all ages of students improve their grades in many subjects.

My comments on tutoring World History : I have a degree in International Relations and have studied international world history extensively.

I like a very engaging style of teaching, using visuals or work sheets, charts, or picture to have hands on to help the participant learn. I am incredibly energetic when it comes to learning and want those I tutor and teach to succeed and enjoy the process of learning.
While in university I studied art history, studio art, and international relations. I was a teaching assistant for many art history classes, including renaissance, modern, and post modern art. I also was a teaching assistant for several studio art classes including drawing, photography, and silk screen. I have done school tutoring and some tutoring with younger family memebers who are dyslexic and who have ADHD. I havent had any exsperince with people outside of school and family but I found out that my ways of learning are very helpful and I think I can provide them to children who need helpin any subject.
I like to make songs that children can learn from and I also like to make colorful diagrams and charts that make it more easier to read and remember.

As seen from above, I have valid tutoring experience in both middle grades and HS. I was in the student teaching program at Wake Forest and upon graduation, I was a substitute teacher in the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County School system. I also participated in the Junior Achievement program in the Piedmont NC region for over 5 years. I am currently a tutor with the "No Child Left Behind Program."
I am a disciplinarian. I have an excellent ability to gain a students attention, keep it and the results of my students have been well above average. I have a knack to bring into the classroom, outside events (latest ball games, Olympics, etc.) to establish a 'bond' between myself and the student. This allows me to gain their confidence as well as not create a bored atmosphere. I find this very important, especially with the more difficult students.
