I am a disciplinarian. I have an excellent ability to gain a students attention, keep it and the results of my students have been well above average. I have a knack to bring into the classroom, outside events (latest ball games, Olympics, etc.) to establish a 'bond' between myself and the student. This allows me to gain their confidence as well as not create a bored atmosphere. I find this very important, especially with the more difficult students.
As seen from above, I have valid tutoring experience in both middle grades and HS. I was in the student teaching program at Wake Forest and upon graduation, I was a substitute teacher in the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County School system. I also participated in the Junior Achievement program in the Piedmont NC region for over 5 years. I am currently a tutor with the "No Child Left Behind Program."

A Little Bit About Me...

My years of extensive involvement in school and community service activities along with my academic success have all played vital roles toward instilling my value of a higher education. Through out my academic history, I have always excel in the comprehensive subjects of English, from Creative writing merits to Advance placement courses throughout high school , to advanced electives in college. As a Business Management Major with an intended minor in Computer Science, I am well equipped with the skills of writing professional proposals, portfolios, presentations, and memos. I have acquired 12 college credit hours in English; only 6 hours short from converting them to an additional minor. I also have excessive hours and advance training in Microsoft Office components.
