A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate in Accounting, I was given the tools to be able to teach and comprehend a lot of math skills. I was able to take both Business and Math Courses in college including: Business Management, Calculus, Business Accounting, and Algebra. During the last 4 years I have privately tutored students in math and 98% of them went from being F students to B-A students in both math and business courses.
I love to teach students of all ages. I love the looks on their faces when I help them get something that they never thought they would learn. I attended college at Bloomsburg University and earned my BS in accounting, which is one of their few accredited and highly respectable programs. My cumulative GPA was 3.49 (on a 4.0 scale), and I received A's or B's in all accounting, auditing, and finance courses taken. My teaching experience consists of tutoring fellow classmates and group members when we regularly met to share information, though the majority of the time I found myself explaining these accounting concepts to others.

I try to tailor my style to the student. Each student I had tutored when I was in college I had basically spoke with them, got to learn what they strong points were, their weaknesses, and areas that needed more base learning. I tailored lesson plans to help fill in their educational gaps, created small weekly assignments, and also helped with their current homework/lesson plan. I believe everyone learns in different ways. Some are more visual, others are more auditory so I tried to not only explain but also show by using whatever tools necessary/applicable (graphs, pictures, charts, etc.)
