American History is one of my top subjects! Very proficient in history. Learning and reading about history is my favorite past time and would love to instill that passion in others.

I will ask the student how they learn a subject the best, and help them with their problem by reinforcing basic concepts and then adding on to those concepts. Also, I am a motivator; I will help the student understand that the subject is learnable and maybe even enjoyable to learn!
I have taught classes on aviation related subjects for my Civil Air Patrol. I was homeschooled all the way to the college level, and I remember a lot of subjects in great detail. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching adults as well as high school students. I do not have much training teaching below junior high; however, I am confident that I could successfully teach math or language. Although, I don't mind the traditional classroom setting, I am quite used to instructing on a one-to-one basis. Our GED programs are completely individualized for learners to move at their own pace, and I encourage this type of teaching style when manageable. Many of the students/adults that I have worked with have a learning disability of some sort, but I feel that I learn from each student just as much as they are learning from me. In January of 2008, I was hired to work at the University of Akron – Wayne College Learning Center as a peer tutor. We are responsible for helping students that come in seeking tutoring (including test preparation and homework help).
