A Little Bit About Me...

My most recent department chair, Dr. Marie Jureit called me the best teacher on campus. I've taught and tutored students for 37 years in music theory and composition, music of Africa and Latin America, and mathematics through college freshman algebra. As Director of the Freshman Program, I was responsible for designing and implementing programs in developing reading and writing proficiency, and overall ability to succeed in academics. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a strong background in English grammar and composition as well as the basic sciences-especially geology and geography (Master of Science degree). This includes a lifetime "A" avgerage in English spelling, grammar, and composition, a 15-unit "A" grade on my master's thesis, as well as experience as a college English Tutor and college notetaker for the disabled. I also earned an "A" average for all Geogrpahy/Earth Sciences-related subjects. These attributes help make me a well-rounded candidate for tutoring.

I have earned a bachelor's degree in computer science because computers are the tool with the most potential to enable us to understand the world, second only to the mind.
