Drawing is one of my top subjects!

I have helped out several of my friends and family members, with everything from studying to hands on projects. I am looking to expand this help to others, and I also believe it will be a rewarding experience for myself. I, myself, enjoy the learning experience a lot, and hope to help others also find a way to enjoy their learning experience.
I have many different teaching tactics depending on how someone prefers to learn. Some people are visual learners, and need the assistance of visual aids and presentations. Others like to learn about things by doing them. However someone enjoys learning, I believe is the best method.

My comments on tutoring Drawing : Whether a simple black and white drawing or an extensive life-like color drawing I can guide you to the heights of your talents.

I am a self-taught artist that has been drawing since the day I could pick up a pencil. I won many contests from Grade School up to High school. I now, as an adult, have hundreds of art pieces to my name, mostly portraits ranging from simple black and white pencil to in-depth Prismacolor pencil drawings. I also use watercolor, acrylic paints, and ink in various other pieces of art. Most of my time within the past couple of decades has been raising my children and working with Special Education students. During my time in college, I studied both Fine Art Painting and Art Education. Getting my BFA in Painting allowed me to study many disciplines of art while refining my painting techniques. At the same time, I earned my degree in Art Education and have an Indiana Teacher's License to teach visual art to all grades. I gained a lot of experience teaching, including six weeks each teaching 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades, and a semester of student teaching high school students. As a student I was most drawn to the ideas of Piaget and Gardner. Their teaching philosophies made the most sense to me when it came to teaching. Piaget focused on the idea of play as learning. This may sound strange to some, but a child is always learning, no matter they are doing, due to the fact that so many experiences are totally new to them. When children stacks blocks they are exploring many scientific concepts such as balance, gravity, cause and effect and many others. When children scribble with crayons they are exploring many concepts of art and aesthetics. Gardner describes the idea of multiple intelligences.
