I am presently teaching at the College level in the fields of Humanities and Philosophy. I am also tutoring at the tutoring center in Mathematics and the classes I am teaching. I have high expectation for my students and try to push them in order to get the best out of them. I have also being tutoring French (my native language) to a high school student for 2007- 2009. The student was a beginner with very little knowledge of the language. I was able to help the student sustain at the class level (at the Lab school of University of Chicago) a fast intense pace. My teaching style involves demonstrating how to understand a problem or perform a task before I ask the student to do so. By facilitating students in such a way, I believe they have a more one-on-one learning experience, as opposed to a strict lecture setting. With guidance and demonstration, I believe it is easier for students to learn without pressure.
I have a BS in journalism, and a specialization in advertising/integrated marketing communications. I also have minors in English and psychology. As a result of studying both journalism and English, I have an extensive background in writing. I have tutored ESL students to learn to read and write in English.
