My comments on tutoring American History : Have a very good understanding of American History through the Civil War. More recent American History can be covered as well but please mention if this is the area of study where help is needed.

I am very patient when it comes to my teaching style. I try to use techniques that are compatible with my student's learning style. I never get angry.
I have for many years helped friends and family when they have needed help with history papers, literature and writing homework, etc. I would love to assist others to achieve success in school as well. I have a BS in journalism, and a specialization in advertising/integrated marketing communications. I also have minors in English and psychology. As a result of studying both journalism and English, I have an extensive background in writing. I have tutored ESL students to learn to read and write in English.
My teaching style involves demonstrating how to understand a problem or perform a task before I ask the student to do so.
