Algebra II is one of my top subjects!

I have tutored on a volunteer basis with the Holyoke Tutor/Mentor Program for more than a year. I have also tutored privately. My experience has been with adults, however, I would like to add experience working with secondary school students. I can help with SAT's, MCAS, and just provide support for a student who needs some extra help.

My comments on tutoring Algebra II : I relate all math lessons to the students' lifes.

I have been a camp counselor, a high school and college teacher, a GED teacher for the Federal Bureau of prisons, and a life-long tutor and trainer. During my undergraduate career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I obtained a wealth of knowledge in the fields of math and science. Early on in my career I spent 1 1/2 years as a substitute teacher in the areas of math and science, including several months as a long-term substitute in chemistry.
