I enjoy helping people to learn. Aside from knowledge base expertise, certain qualities exemplify a good tutor: patience and being a good listener. Understanding a student’s learning strategies is foundational and incorporates good listening qualities. A desirable outcome will then be more achievable for the student. I try to let my student, regardless of age/grade, not feel intimidated or unintelligent regarding a certain subject or problem. This subsequently allows him or her to open up and feel comfortable as we work together to solve the problem. I encourage students to focus and have a positive attitude. A Little Bit About Me...

As a late bloomer to my education, I understand the importance of completeing an education at the earliest time. I currently hold a BS degree in business with an emphasis on international markets. This degree has helped me to better understand and appreciate economics, business math and accounting. In pusuit of this I have written papers from a 2 page summary to an 80 page thesis. In the past years I have tutored in Spanish 101 and 102 on the college level, accounting, English Comp, Art Appreciation, Shakespeare, and Adult Basic Education for GED students.
My teaching style conforms to the learning style of the individual. Since no two people learn the same it is impossible to tutor the same way.
