Journalism is one of my top subjects!

I've tutored students throughout my entire student career. I am still taking classes toward my bachelor's degree in journalism. I was always excellent with math throughout high school even though my major does not require it now. /my strong points obviously lean toward writing but I love to help with math studies as well. In high school, I tutored the course recovery students every day on which ever subject they needed help with. I've also tutored classmates in college with their classes such as college algebra, English, reading, and other basic classes required if testing does not fulfill the requirement.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion for education and I love working with students. I am open to all teaching styles. Some students are hands- on and others are great with lectured style instruction. Therefore, I incorporate different styles to assure that my students are learning. I ask questions and ask students to explain to me what they have learned. This way I feel confident that the student has grasped the concept.
During my tenure at Florida State University I tutored k-12 students for FCAT reading. I earned my Bachelors degree in English and relocated to South Florida. For the past two years I have substituted in Broward County Public Schools and I also tutor students from my neighborhood elementary school in reading.
