I have earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have over 15 years of teaching experience in all grade levels. I have spent the majority of my teaching career educating young adults in the areas of math, science, reading, social studies and writing.
Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I love to teach students of all ages. I love the looks on their faces when I help them get something that they never thought they would learn. As a graduate in Accounting, I was given the tools to be able to teach and comprehend a lot of math skills. I was able to take both Business and Math Courses in college including: Business Management, Calculus, Business Accounting, and Algebra. I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. Attending graduate school at Binghamton University truly prepared me for academia, requiring many research papers and essays as well as honing my knowledge in psychology, the arts, human development, english, and biology. I have tutored, un-officially, all during my college years, forming study groups to better help my peers, as well as having volunteer positions tutoring in math and english.
