My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I have utilized study skills to prepare students for various tests. Also, I have used study skills during my bachelor, Masters, and doctoral degrees. Lastly, I have helped college students with study skills.

I use a combination of both online games and Websites and hands-on manipulatives. First, I like for the student to take multiple intelligence tests and then I know how best to help the student. The information I gain from the analysis is extremely informative. It tells me where the students' strengths lie such as some students are musically inclined, some are visual learners, auditory learners, some are mathematicians and various other styles. Then, the style that they learn through the best is how I would teach the student; this is based on Gardner's Multiple Intelligence. Second, meeting the standards are essential in today's education system. The four C's of the 21st century is also necessary for students' to learn. They are collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity.

I then went on to get my masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Bloomsburg University also. I am currently waiting to receive my Pennsylvania State teaching certificate, I will then be certified to teach Secondary Education (grades 7-12) Earth & Space Science. I had the experience of student teaching in both a high school and middle school setting. I student taught 7th grade general science, 9th grade introduction to Biology, and a 12th grade Earth Science class.

My name is Nicole Koerner and I'm a native speaker of Germany. I was born and raised in Germany. I received a B.A in German Studies/ Communication & Culture from Kutztown University,PA in May 2009. During the past few years,I've been tutoring German to children in High School. I am a recent 2006 graduate from College Misericordia where I student taught third, fourth and fifth grade learning support and regular education in a first grade classroom. I then worked in the Pine Grove School district where I taught students with varying exceptionalities including: learning disabled, mental retardation, emotional disturbance, and other health impairments.
