In my opinion, lecturing is the least creative style of teaching. I like to intertwine learning with imagination. It has been my experience that if you combine a subject with something that inspires the student, it creates an interest in the subject matter and helps the student retain more information.

I have noticed that many students focus on memorization instead of really understanding the processes behind science, math, and foreign languages. I try to focus on how and why things are, rather than just the fact that they are. I have earned two degrees: a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Biology. I have taken a wide range of courses in biology and have a great deal of knowledge about them all. One of my courses required me to teach in a lab. Through this I was able to gain valuable teaching experience and interact with students as well.
