I have taught and tutored at all levels ranging from Elementary through College in both "Mainstream" and "Special Education" environments. I enjoy learning and try to pass along some of my enthusiasm to my students. I will work with the student to find the best methods for us to approach the material so he or she will have the greatest success. I believe that creating a structure assists in the learning process, but the structure may be different for different people. This is not to say that I impose a rigid schedule or formula to the tutoring sessions, but I do work to create of flow for the the study session which will consistently show the student his or her progress each time.

In college, I pursued a minor degree in English because of my love of English, reading, and writing. I love to proofread and edit. Being a sociology major, I had to write many papers, which fine-tuned my grammatical, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills. In law school, I excelled in and enjoyed legal writing courses. While I worked for Kaplan, I taught and privately tutored ACT students. As an attorney I have extensively utilized all of the above-mentioned skills.
