I earned a bachelor of science degree in Adolescent/Young Adult English/Language Arts Education from Miami University in December 2008. I then taught tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade English for six months, from January to June 2009. During the 2009-2010 school year I have been substitute teaching in both middle and high school. While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center.
I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.

The reason I became a teacher was to transfer my love of music to my students and also to see the joy of their successes. There is nothing like seeing the smile of success on a students face. I care greatly for all students that I have taught and will teach.
I first started to study music when I was 11 years old. I grew a love for the clarinet and played for many years in middle school and high school.
