I take the time to get to know the student and to understand how he or she learns. I come prepared to the tutoring session with the concepts I plan on teaching and assignments for the students to work on at home. I take time to make worksheets and to prepare activities that help simplify otherwise complex topics.
I am currently a part time math teacher at a junior high school and an elementary school teaching assistant. I am a part time math tutor and am looking for new students. My experience as a math tutor ranges from middle school level to adult. I graduated in high standing with a bachelors and masters degree in engineering. A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). I think that with the right guidance and put in the right environment, anyone can learn. I look forward to being that "right guidance."
