A Little Bit About Me...

I had been teaching as a substitute teacher for 3 years in McAllen ISD. Also, I teached in Mexico for a year as an English teacher. Also, I am an artist and I usually do exhibitions. However, I am doing my masters degree in fine arts and I hope that i will be receiving my degree in 2014. My goals are to be teach all my knowledge either in Spanish or in the arts to any type student.

My comments on tutoring Painting : I focus on oil painting. I learned these skills through college level courses and over 10 years of experience and practice.

I tend to go with the constructive mode of teaching. I expect the best from each individual learner, as from what their ability level can manage. I am very flexible in the way I teach, if something does not work, then I can change my approach and level of instruction to meet the needs of the student.
I have been teaching ESL/EFL for the last six years, both in Japan and the US. The types of EFL students I have taught range from true-beginner to near native level speakers; ages ranged from toddler to senior. I have been teaching English Composition for the last year and a half. I have worked as a graphic designer for the last five years. I have pursued my artistic career in oil paining since 2001.

Lets Learn about the World!

I do not have much experience in tutoring but i do have experience with working with children. I currently volunteer with the Rio Bravo Wildlife Institute (RBWI) in a resaca restoration project which mainly consist of teaching middle school children how to restore and preserve resacas around Brownsville. My responsibilities with RBWI included organizing meeting to teach and guide the children in ways that they can improve the resacas around their neighborhoods. Other than my work with RBWI my tutoring shills can be notice through out my college years as I used to arrange study groups and for the most part take the lead in conducting them.
