While pursuing my MA in Medieval Studies, an interdisciplinary degree combining history and literature, I was able to teach six sections of Medieval 145: Heroes and Villains. The sections averaged 40 undergraduate students of various ages and I enjoyed sharing my love of history and literature with them. At the same time, I was able to help shape their writing and research skills. I learned the ever-important lesson: if you can research it, you can teach it! In high school, my BA studies, and my MA studies, I earned top grades in all my history and English classes. I have a degree and a K-3rd teaching certificate with a reading endorsement in early childhood education from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. I also have a five year provisional teaching license for the state of Michigan certifying me to teach K-5th. I have been working in the field of childcare full time for the last five years.
