A Little Bit About Me...

I teach grades Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade. I have been teaching since 2003. My passion are the early years but principals that I work for have told me that I am such a strong teacher that I should teach the upper primary grades. I prefer to lay an excellent foundation to get students grounded in the basic skills. Students that are taught by me excel and soar in the educational path.

My teaching style is a combination of visual, and kinesthetic. Most of the students I have worked with in the past who are learning disabled learn best by seeing and doing( hands-on ) It works best for these students if they are able to see the work being presented and then try it themselves. In reading, I tend to like to have the student read a small section of the paragraph and describe a few things that stuck out in their mind. ( Create a picture ) For younger students I may actually have them draw what they read.

I have discovered that every students is capable of achieving greatness if someone will take the time and effort to learn their learning style. I pride myself in being able to break things down to the most basic levels if necessary in order to reach a student.
