Whenever possible, I use highlighters, colored pencils, hands-on manipulatives, and other items to help students learn.
I have been teaching elementary students since 1995 in 1st and 4th grades. I have taught all subject areas, especially language arts and math. I want to encourage students to think for themselves and to work through their learning in a way that makes sense to them. After I graduated as a Business Administration, I certified in Early Childhood – 4th Grade in Bilingual Education, here in Texas. I have been working in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th Grade as a Bilingual Teacher, also, teaching ESL in High School and 1st Semester in University.
