As an experienced Doctor and Teacher, I am dedicated to enabling individuals to set and attain life goals. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with emphasis on Biological Sciences and Earth Sciences. I was a teacher in the public school system for 6 years. I taught Science from grade 7 through senior level, encompassing Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Physics. I went on to Medical School, where I got my Degree in Osteopathic Medicine. During Medical School, I was a tutor at Greenbrier Community College in the areas of Math and Science. I believe that all students learn differently, so I try to use a varied approach of general lecture review, drawing visual aids, asking students to teach me a concept, developing ideas in multiple processes and working through problem sets. Presently retired. 25 years of teaching locally at Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne and at ITT in Fort Wayne. Other localities include Idaho, Arizona, and South Carolina. 20 years as an engineer on Government Projects including the Minuteman Missile, Loss of Fluid Test reactor, Roland Missile Project, Parts of the Lunar Excursion Module etc.
My success in tutoring was more visible to me at ITT in the period between 1995 to 2006. I got to know the student's problems with the subject matter and was able to help them more accurately than in the classroom. I was very pleased with the results of this process. The course involved statistics, math, physics, calculus.
