My teaching style consists of finding that unique style that will suit each individual student. Growing up, I noticed that it was very hard for certain students to grasp certain concepts because they were not engaged in the teaching method. It is no secret that everyone learns a certain way, and no two ways are ever the same. I believe that my patience, my calm demeanor, and habit of wanting to make learning something fun rather than a job has certainly helped me in my education. I also am a big proponent of having children set goals for themselves. Setting goals makes you work harder without feeling the pressure, and I've learned that once children reach that goal they will just want to go higher.

I majored in English teaching in college, was trained in all the aspects of teaching reading, composition, and grammar, and earned a year of teaching experience for my internship as a 7th grade English teacher. During my time in college, I volunteered as a homework help tutor at a local high school, and was selected for an internship with my University's writing center. During that internship, I was trained in the theories and practices of teaching academic and professional writing, and then was hired as tutor at the writing center.
