A Little Bit About Me...

All children are students; they can learn. The question is how best do they learn? I have used many differing styles from rote memorization through self-paced self-education. I encourage students to see the wonder and "mystery" (there really isn't any mystery) of Math, regardless of the level, in the real world. To that aid, I try to present real world problems at levels the student can understand. For lower level students, I investigate with them the development of the linear equations involved in setting up a relationship between two factors. A higher level student would solve multiple linear equations. A height vs. time linear relationship then can become quadratic, thus involving sports as an application.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love to work with children everyday. I believe children have different learning styles and it is important to find out each child's learning style to better meets their academic needs. I aso believe that teaching through a constructivist approach is important. Children learn by discovery. Each child can reach their ultimate potential if they are given the right academic tools.
I graduated from Kutztown University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. During my educational track I completed three student teaching experiences. In addition, I have and am currently a lead teacher at Childtime Learning Center.
