I have been playing chess for close to seven years, many of those at the tournament level. I was a natural when I started, and have only grown in my concepts of the logic and theory of the game. I am also a published author, and can easily teach any student to understand writing in new ways so that they can improve not only the accuracy but the style of their writing.

What a better way to teach your teen than by a teen?

I graduated high school in late October of 2012. I am not currently in college. I am working twords bettering my future. I enjoy helping others and I find it easy. I used to be tutored and I hated it because the tutors seemed to not care if I got it. I make sure the person or people I am tutoring understand and remember how to do what I am asked to teach them. In high school my teachers used to send me to other classes and tutor kids in the middle of class. I am extremely flexable and can help just about anyone I try to teach. I will not say every because no one is perfect and I'm not going to pretend I am.

I have enjoyed each experience I have had with teaching, beginning with an informal position as a study group leader in the Genetics course I completed at Penn State University. While working on my MS at the University of Tennessee, I taught lecture and outdoor laboratory sessions for the Ornithology course, which included about 30 students. As the coordinator of the Conservation Science Internship Program at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, I am responsible for much of the training of 5-11 interns at one time.
