I have currently finished 2nd-year Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Limerick, Ireland. I love working with people and helping them in their studies and Musical interests. I have given classes on maths and physics before for high school and college-level students. I was preparing kids for their Trinity keyboard grade exams in Ireland.

My comments on tutoring Calculus II : Having taken Calculus in high school as well as college with grades of A, I have extensive learning, training and thorough understanding of Calculus I, Calculus II and Calculus III. Similarly, I have self-taught Calculus IV as well. While I was at college, I used to help my friends with their homework, practice and concept development to perform better in their tests. I was consistently the best student. After completing Calculus sequence, I started tutoring the course to junior students at various levels. While Calculus involves a lot of limits, derivatives, integrations, functions, vectors, trigonometry and algebra, it is not limited to only those areas.

Holding a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics, I have knowledge of both Mathematics and its application to Economics as well as other real world situations. I have advanced experience on tutoring high school students and college students in courses like PreCalculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Combinatorics and Probability, Econometrics, Calculus I, Calculus II and Calculus III and MicroEconomics and MacroEconomics as well as International Economics. I have also worked as a teaching assistant at Oglethorpe University. While I was in university, I was consistently given excellent feedback. I was a high demand tutor in both Mathematics and Economics. Although, I only had four regular hours a week, I used to get more than seven hours of extra hours per week. Some of the reasons are I give students simple and real world examples to help them understand complex ... read more

My comments on tutoring Calculus II : I use structured study and problem-solving techniques to help the student master the different ways of integrating. I help the student learn to recognize which techniques are appropriate to which kinds of integrals, and spend a fair amount of time showing the student how to set up and solve various story problems. I also help the student prepare for exams and go over the results afterward.

As a teacher and tutor, I focus on developing conceptual knowledge (rather than memorization), and structured study methods, problem-solving techniques, and test-taking skills, including post-test analyses of mistakes as a learning tool. I encourage the student to develop skills appropriate not only to the discipline, but to his or her own personal learning style. I like to use on-line interactive tutorials, especially with students who are highly visual or hands-on learners. At the same time, as a tutor,I like to interact with the student's instructor (and, where appropriate, the parents) to best serve his or her needs.
I have taught at three universities (The University of Michigan, Henry Ford Community College, and Lawrence Technological University) and tutored formally at two (Henry Ford Community College and Georgia Perimeter College). I have also tutored as an independent ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I believe that I am competent in various areas of biology and chemistry, and will be able to convey that competence. I have taught and tutored at my church and in other volunteer programs since high school. I also currently give drum lessons at a Stephen's Music Company.
I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material. I do not like to tell my students the answers, inhibiting them from thinking things through. I try to find different ways of teaching material in order to keep them motivated, as well.

I like working with students.i think that a tutor should review over the day to day lesson (course)with the student, practice the application and then treat the tasks with the gradual difficulties. The patience and the repetition are the keys of a successful tutoring.I think that the tutor must develop a certain feeling and a logic from his student towards the maths(base of the science). The achievement is to step the student into the teacher`s shoes in order to be able to well understand by himself.

I have a strong desire to help children. Through teaching, I experience joy in displaying my knowledge and wisdom to them in helping them become better people in life. One area in which I display my knowledge is through mathematics. I enjoy the subject and feel that I can be very effective in teaching children.
I am an engineering professional with over four years of experience. My profession requires me to use several methods of mathematics, such as Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Differential Equations. These principles are essential towards completing an effective engineering project. I also have experience tutoring and teaching through volunteer work that I have done with programs such as N.G.W. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe every student has the ability to learn any subject matter, however difficult it may seem. Effective instruction is strongly linked to effective communication of material, in a way that each student can understand personally. I strongly believe that every student achieves their best when they feel comfortable with their instructor and as a member of a problem-solving team. I will work hard with each student to communicate important points in a way that not only seems comprehensible, but also inspires interest. My goal is to work with each student as a student myself, discovering how they learn best and how best to use our time.
I have worked as a math and physics tutor for several years at the high school and undergraduate university levels. My past experience has been primarily in introductory physics courses and upper-level high school math including trigonometry and cal ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I realized in my career life that I was always training new and experienced staff with so much ease. As a result, I became a point of reference even for subjects I did not know well about. When I asked people why they may think I know answers to their problems they would say, I had a good idea of how to go about in the right direction for answers. My nieces bring with them math quizzes each time we have a road trip together and ask me how to solve math problems. So I am constantly finding a problem to solve, especially math, at home and at work. I enjoy financial mathematics the most and majored in the field at school.
I take the assumption that everyone is at the same level and gradually introduce concepts and building blocks to get to a full understanding. During introduction, I encourage students to hold their questions briefly until I have explained the method and then invite q ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion for chemistry, and would love to help students learn the subject. When I was a supplemental instructor, I was faced with the challenges of making sure the students understood the information from the professor. I realized that teaching students the way I understood things when I was taking the class really benefited them. Also, I believed in every single student, and showing them that made their grades rise. I showed my students their potentials, and hopefully my work will help them succeed in their futures.
As a Georgia Southern University graduate, I had the opportunity that many chemistry undergraduates did not get to experience. As I was working towards my BS in chemistry, I was a Laboratory Teaching Assistant in Chemistry labs. I had the opportunity to teach general, nursing, organic, and engineering chemistry laboratories with the supervision of an instructor ... read more
