My comments on tutoring Calculus II : Having taken Calculus in high school as well as college with grades of A, I have extensive learning, training and thorough understanding of Calculus I, Calculus II and Calculus III. Similarly, I have self-taught Calculus IV as well. While I was at college, I used to help my friends with their homework, practice and concept development to perform better in their tests. I was consistently the best student. After completing Calculus sequence, I started tutoring the course to junior students at various levels. While Calculus involves a lot of limits, derivatives, integrations, functions, vectors, trigonometry and algebra, it is not limited to only those areas.

Holding a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics, I have knowledge of both Mathematics and its application to Economics as well as other real world situations. My comments on tutoring Calculus II : I use structured study and problem-solving techniques to help the student master the different ways of integrating. I help the student learn to recognize which techniques are appropriate to which kinds of integrals, and spend a fair amount of time showing the student how to set up and solve various story problems. I also help the student prepare for exams and go over the results afterward.

As a teacher and tutor, I focus on developing conceptual knowledge (rather than memorization), and structured study methods, problem-solving techniques, and test-taking skills,including post-test analyses of mistakes as a learning tool. I encourage the student to develop skills appropriate not only to the discipline, but to his or her own personal learning style. I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I believe that I am competent in various areas of biology and chemistry, and will be able to convey that competence. I have taught and tutored at my church and in other volunteer programs since high school. I also currently give drum lessons at a Stephen's Music Company.
I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material.
