I love teaching and seeing students understand.

I prefer one-on-one and I teach phonics approach to reading.
I have taught Elementary Education in Ohio for 30 years. I taught GED for Garrard County for 10 years.I have always enjoyed working with students who do not understand their subjects, especially in Math. I will change the teaching to fit the student, if understanding is not happening. There is nothing like hearing a student say, "Now I understand, no one has ever shown me that learning can be fun!"

I have helped tutor many young students through the Pirate 21 program at my school (Berea Community) and can help with a wide range of academic and extra curricular needs, such as vocal training or a drama couch, as well as a core content tutor. I am a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University. I would really love to tutor in ASL since it is my minor and I love the language. I have taken up to 201 but I have many deaf friends who have taught me more then a class ever could. I am only experienced in tutoring my sisters but I think it would be a really fun job to teach someone else the language I love.
