Learn with experienced, successful tutor

My style of tutoring is creative flexibility. I assess the student's learning style and try to adapt to that, using different senses (kinetic, aural, oral) to trigger best responses. However, this is layered over a basic multi-part structure suited to the subject. I also like to set up a schedule of what our hour will be like, with some beginning exercises (usually recall from previous session). The rest of the hour would be structured with student input as much as possible. At the end, I like to introduce some free time to talk about the lesson and about any new ideas.

Earth Science is one of my top subjects! Ever since I was a small child, science has been my favorite subject. Most of my college career has been centered around Environmental, and Biological sciences; including, geology/geography, oceanography, and even botany.

Throughout my academic career, I have done in-class tutoring in exchange for credit. I have also helped my family members, neighbors, and friends to study, complete homework, and even do reports. If the subject lends itself to a real-world example or demonstration, I would offer this for thought. Finally I teach the core concept, connecting it to other concepts already understood by the student. There is usually more than one way to teach a concept. I recieved what I believe was an excellent education from the University of Colorado. Although my major was pharmacy, and I am indeed a registered Pharmacist, I have many years of education in the areas of chemistry, biology ad anatomy. I love helping people achieve their dreams and goals and I have high expectations for all children and adults I am teaching.
