I know French since I was a kid. I was born in an Island called Mauritius. We talk french there. I can talk fluent french. I am good at teaching my husband and my mother-in-law as they are US citizen so sometimes they want me to teach them french. They know some of the words and can understand some of the conversation when i talk with my parents on the phone.

I have three years of teaching health education in the school system. This experience and my own personal experience have taught me that students sometimes need someone to show them a different way to study and learn. I have always loved school and find that I miss it at times. Because of that I jump at the chance to help those who need it. I college I helped other students who had math and physics classes. My public speaking class is extremely participatory, both so students can gain experience speaking in front of an audience and because this format seems to keep students more interested in the material. My experience teaching children in theatre was also very participatory. I believe that students learn best when they can understand a given concept from several different angles. I also believe that each student is different and that any teacher must tailor her lessons to the individual student's needs. This is especially true of one-on-one tutoring sessions.

I spent the last three years obtaining my MS in organic chemistry. Of this time, I spent two years teaching and helping undergraduate students with chemistry and biology. I spent one semester teaching general chemistry classes and an additional semester teaching an organic chemistry lab section. In addition to my experience teaching chemistry, my undergraduate degree in biochemistry and my experience working in an agronomy genetics lab has given me a good understanding of genetics and cellular biology.
